Lord of the rings and Hobbit characters

Frodo

Frodo Baggins is the main character of the lord of the rings.

He was sent on a quest to destroy the One Ring. And the only place it could be destroyed, was in the burning lava of mount doom.

Gandalf the grey

Gandalf is the one who sent Frodo on the Quest, to destroy the One Ring. He guides him along the way. He also accomanies him with Aragorn.

Aragorn

Aragorn is a highly skilled ranger and tracker, but he is secretly the last descendant of the the long forgotten king of Arnor. He is also known as Ellesar and Strider. He is the son of Arathorn and Gilraen.

Legolas

Legolas Greenleaf is second in command of the mirkwood elves. He is Thranduils son, and is very skilled with th bow and sword.

Gimli

Gimli is a stuborn, and loyal dwarf. He is the son of Gimli, and accompanies Frodo in the quest to destroy the ring.

Borimir

Borimir fights with loyalty and braveness for his home in gondor. He later accompanies the Fellowship. He then dies from arrows of the Uruk Hai.

Elrond

Elron is the eldest of all elves, he is more than 3,000 years old and he holds the council of Elrond in rivendell.

Arwen

Arwen is the duaghter of Elrond and the love of Aragorn.

Radagast the brown

Radagast the brown is a long time friend of gandalf, and loves nature!

Sam

Sam is Frodos best friend, and gardner. His full name is Samwise Gamgee.

Peregrin Took

Also known as pippin, he always gets into trouble. His best friend is Merry

Merry

Merry, short for Meriadoc Brandybuck, is best friends with pippin.

Bilbo Baggins

Bilbo Baggins is Frodos uncle, he is the main character of The Hobbit. He, in the Hobbit is hired as thorins burglar. He has to find a jewel called the arkenstone in the home of a fire breathing dragon.

Bilbo Old

Turiel

Turiel is the captain of the elves of mirkwood. She only appears in the Hobbit, the movie, #2 and #3. Legolas and Turiel are very close. She then falls in love with Kili the dwarf

Thranduil

Thranduil is the elve king of mirkwood. He is legolas's father and kind of greedy. He said himself in the movie The Hobbit that he suffered the bites of serpents.

Beorn

Beorn, is a skin changer as they call it in middle earth. He changes into a bear sometimes and he can turn back to a tall buff man.

Thorin

Thorin is the leader of the 13 dwarfs who accompanied Bilbo on the great quest.

Fili and Kili

Fili and Kili are brothers who always stay together. They are the youngest of the 13 dwarfs who accompanied Bilbo in the quest to kill smaug, and take the gold.
